Vision
Our company vision is to create a brand that is a guarantee of quality, in very competitive prices. We develop a sensible and highly responsible attitude to product manufacturing, with an ongoing commitment to promote awareness of natural well-being and sustainable development.
Philosophy
Our philosophy is that
wine should be a true expression of its territory of origin. That is why
we mainly produce wines from Greek indigenous varieties, or from a combination
of Greek - international varieties, extending the quality options of modern
consumers.
Additionally, we put into practice the most innovative methods of wine production
in conjunction with sheer respect to both the grape and the environment.
History
Zacharias Vineyards is a new name that has emerged in the Nemea Region, where Agiorgitiko, Greece's most famous red wine, reigns. It was only in 2002 that our first vintage was released. However, given that numbers alone never reveal the full extent of the truth, the history of both the family's winery and vineyards dates back many years.
Elias Zacharias, the winemaker, is the mind behind the company and he has
already exceeded thirty years of continuous offer to Nemea wine, as the
major agriculturalist of the region.
The winery of the company is the largest and the most historical private
winery in Nemea, built in 1973. Its modernization has resulted in the production
of a series of quality wines.
Finally, the first family vineyards were planted in 1960 on the slopes around
the Leontio village, in the heart of Nemea area.
