
Location:
The vineyards of Zacharias family are located in the heart of Nemea area,
on the slopes around village Leontio and they cover an area of 25 hectares.
Nemea is an area particularly favoured by nature, owing its peculiarity to
the microclimate and the terrain. That is probably the reason why it is the
most known wine region of Greece, from antiquity until nowadays.
Varieties:
The first grapevines were planted in 1962. The selection of grape varieties
consists of 9 varieties: the indigenous Greek varieties of Agiorgitiko, Roditis,
Assyrtiko, Sklava, Moschofilero and the famous French varieties of Cabernet
Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc.
