Elias Zacharias is the leading mind of Zacharias Vineyards. He was born in 1944 in Leontio, a beautiful and pictorial village situated in Nemea, and he comes from a multi-member family of farmers.

His love for agriculture and nature forced Ilias to study in the Agricultural University of Athens. After his graduation, he got back to Nemea, where he started to work intensively at Nemea's vineyards. Staying true to his convictions, he still believes that good quality wine starts at the vineyards, not the winery.

He is undoubtedly one of the few people who have shown such interest and have worked so systematically with the vines and the wine of the region. His thirty year experience has put him in the position to put into practice the most innovative methods of wine production in conjunction with sheer respect to both the grape and the environment.
